In the second half of August, we held an unprecedented contest for the watch community. Starting at just a one dollar donation, participants were entered to win one of three HORAGE Tourbillon 1 prototypes with movements produced by La Joux-Perret. In the early days of development, we planned to use this Swiss movement manufacturer for our production models, but ultimately ended up engineering our own K-TOU tourbillon movements instead. We had finished five prototypes with the La Joux-Perret counterparts prior to the shift to our own development and three of those will be drawn for on Facebook Live this Sunday September 12th at 14:00CET.

An Incredible Response
All of this has been made possible by the incredible response of our watch community. Entry donations for the three Tourbillon $1 prototypes came from 1,227 enthusiasts. The number of entries per person is based on the donation amount, but a one dollar donation can still win a tourbillon watch!
Although there can be just three winners, everyone that entered (regardless of the amount donated) will receive a CHF 500 voucher to be used at the HORAGE store. The vouchers will be valid for one month and can also be used for purchasing our K1 model watches and applied to a special event at the end of the month. This event will be a Happy Hour for our Array models built on the K1 automatic. There will be a 25% discount of the CHF 2,300 retail price, bringing it to CHF 1,725. With the voucher, you can buy this special skeleton piece for just CHF 1,225 – that’s almost half the price!
Winners of the three Tourbillon $1 models will be announced at 14:00CET on Sunday, September 12th via live stream on Facebook Live. To protect the privacy of winners, they will be announced by first name, last initial and the last four digits of their order number. Winners will be notified by email from lostintime@horage.com (be sure to check your spam folders just in case) and watches will ship within two weeks of the announcement.
All For A Great Cause
Our production Tourbillon 1 models are already unprecedented at CHF 7,490, the most accessible price for an in-house Swiss tourbillon, so just ONE DOLLAR for a chance to win a Swiss tourbillon is mind boggling. It’s our way of giving back to the watch community and proceeds are going to a great cause – helping the local watchmaking school ZeitZentrum in Grenchen as well as flying in two lucky aspiring watchmakers/engineers to our facility in Switzerland for a full week with our watchmakers/engineers. Flights and hotels covered by us and of course some amazing home cooked meals. The week will end with a tremendous bang as both students will learn how to assemble an HORAGE tourbillon caliber and then keep their finished watches. Talk about a keepsake! Watchmakers/engineers will need to apply and send their CV to HORAGE lostintime@horage.com , and the two winners will be announced in the near future.
Thank You To All That Participated!
Thanks again to everyone that donated for a chance to win a Swiss Made HORAGE tourbillon $1 prototype. We’re thrilled to be able to give back with three watches valued at over CHF 7,490 each and simultaneously help aspiring watchmakers. In addition to the three prototypes, two visiting young watchmakers will take home a tourbillon of their own that they built alongside our watchmakers and engineers. If you’re in the market for a new in-house Swiss automatic, be sure to visit our online store and take advantage of the CHF 500 voucher that we will be emailing to donors within the week! And don’t forget about our Array Happy Hour at the end of the month for an incredible once in a lifetime deal that anyone an be a part of. When they are gone they are gone.
