On November 19th, 2023 we went live with Lensman £1 and the response has been fantastic.
From London to Singapore, Shanghai to New York, photography and watch enthusiasts around the world have been taking part in this very special fundraiser and giveaway.

Centre For British Photography Grants Programme
Our collaboration with the London-based charity Centre For British Photography came to light through our photographic ambassador Professor Brian Griffin.

When I had expressed the desire to create a prototype giveaway to Brian without hesitation aid we needed to support the Centre For British Photography. Within a few weeks, I was in London to meet with James Hyman the gallery founder, Becky Martin the gallery manager and Brian Griffin to discuss Horage's desire to support the charity with funds raised from what would become the Lensman £1 giveaway.

Little did I know at the time that James and Becky were looking for support with their first-ever grants programme. The timing couldn't have been better planned as we all immediately saw the opportunity to provide the grants programme for the Centre For British Photography with its initial financial support through the fundraiser/giveaway that is the Lensman £1.
Lensman £1 is our third charity drive and watch giveaway. The first was Tourbillon $1 and the second was Supresede $1. Both of these generated quite a bit of excitement amongst watch enthusiasts and a significant amount was raised for charity.
Supersede $1 generated the greatest amount of funds raised due to the high average donation amount being $38.97 per donor. https://www.shop.horage.com/forum/k2-english/supersede-1-live-draw-total-donations
When it came to the draw for the Supersede watch, it was live on YouTube just as we will do with Lensman £1. What was interesting is that each of the winners increased their odds of winning by donating slightly under or above the average donation of $38.97.
You can look at how the live draw went here to get an idea of how it will be formulated for the Lensman £1.
Below is an email received from one of the lucky Supersede $1 winners.
Hello Landon,
I wanted to get in touch with you and, above all, thank you. I took part in your Food-for-Ukraine fundraising campaign last year and actually won a Supersede prototype. When I came out of my summer vacation, I unexpectedly found a package with the watch in it in my shed. I just wanted to describe my impressions.
I have been enthusiastic about watches for a long time and already have a decent collection. But since I got the Supersede, it hasn't left my wrist. The size with 40 mm is perfect, but above all the flat design with 10mm makes it incredibly wearable.
The functions exactly meet my needs, as I definitely need a date. And since I'm starting to see worse, the big date is really practical. The atoll blue is crazy cool because the color looks different depending on the daylight. The spectrum ranges from pigeon gray to blue, but always looks great.
A second time zone is one of the most useful complications and with the Supersede this is really super solved. The GMT pointer drives unnoticed until I need it. And the day-night display is really cool. However, the icing on the cake is the high water resistance. 200m are enormous for a watch of this design and the rotating bezel the next icing on the cake.
It gets even more beautiful when I turn the clock around. The movement is simply a feast for the eyes and the micro-rotor is ingenious to be able to look at everything unhindered. Since I am a surgeon and am incredibly fond of precision, my joy was enormous when I tested the accuracy. The Supersede is absolutely in the area of my Rolex and the Spring-Drive of the Grand Seiko. Wow! In addition, the micro- adjustment of the clasp is incredibly practical. I change the length practically throughout the day.
I could keep writing like this all day, but I think you know what a great watch you have developed. I can wear it to work, in my free time and without any problems on formal occasions. Just as you intended. In any case, I can only praise the Supersede in the highest tones and will be happy to recommend it. It has the potential for the One-Watch Collection!!
Many thanks again to the entire team for the watch and above all congratulations for the great work that is being done at Horage.
Warm regards
Questions From Donors
Some have asked if you can donate more than once and the answer is yes. If you have donated you can simply go back in and donate again.
There has also been a little confusion on how to select the total donation amount. There are two ways to select your donation amounts. Either select from the preset donation amounts from the dropdown and add them to the cart.
Or select an amount from the drop-down along with a multiplier ranging from 1-5 and then add it to the cart.
Donations will close on November 1st at 14:00 CET/13:00 BST. Be sure to donate before the time is up and be sure to keep a record of your order id's!
