The excitement for Lensman 1 is growing each day. With all new images created for the website, we are almost ready to go live with the Lensman 1 pre-order.
Get Ready To Pre-Order
November 22nd on or before 14:00 CET the Lensman 1 pre-order will begin. The pre-order price of 8,390CHF will be available for five days only until November 27th @14:00CET. For Horage customers that have ordered 1000 CHF or more in the past, you will receive an email with a loyalty reward coupon code to order Lensman 1 for just 7990 CHF. After the 5-day window closes you will still be able to order at the regular retail price of 8,890 CHF.
Payment Options
As with previous timepiece pre-orders, we will offer a full and split payment option at checkout.
Full Payment
For those who select the full payment option, you will receive both the black stitch and red stitch straps. As well you will be able to select your case number for an additional 100CHF. With case numbers, we ask that you present up to 5 desired numbers in the special requests box at checkout between 1-100 and we will do our best to allocate. Once the first 100 pieces have been sold the site will update from 101-200 and so on. If one of your desired numbers is unavailable you will be prioritized for the lowest available case number.
Split Payment
We understand that a tourbillon is a significant purchase and therefore we offer our interest-free split payment option. With the split payment option, you can pay 50% of the base watch price at checkout and the other 50% three months later via an automated invoice that will be sent out to you. The split payment option includes one strap of your choice and the price for case number selection is 150CHF which will be added in full to the first 50% payment. The case number designation is handled in the same way as the full payment option.
Product Updates
Lensman 1 is a project that we have been working on quietly behind the scenes for well over a year. Its look has been decided by our team in advance to complement the aesthetic of a camera's body, therefore to keep its look defined we opted to keep the options to a minimum. However, in prototyping the first watches we have already made a few little updates.
Screw-Down Crown
The most significant is implementing a screw-down crown which was not included in the previous tourbillon. Most hand-wound watches do not have a screw-down crown as one could run the risk of overwinding a watch if one missed the threads when screwing back in the crown of a fully wound watch. Lensman 1 is unique in that it utilizes an automatic watch main barrel. The importance of this is that in an automatic watch there is a clutch that slips when a watch is overwound. This slipping means the watch cannot be overwound and thus the mainspring is protected.
Anti-Reflective Coating
A small addition planned after announcing Lensman 1 is the application of an anti-reflective (AR) coating on Lensman 1's sapphire case back. The AR coating was added as we had some asking and requesting this and we felt it would help with photographing the details of the movement.
See It First
Join Andi and me this Wednesday, November 9th @18:15CET on YouTube live. We will be showing you the Lensman 1 in detail as well as answering your questions in the chat.
I will be on the road this next week to walk the WatchPro show and catch up with enthusiasts in London England as well as I will be a host at a RedBar Bristol event. The Lensman 1, Supersede and other Horage watches will be with me. Let me know in the comments if you would like to check out the watches at either of those events in the comments.
For those of you in California, we will be hosting an event in Los Angeles on November 16th for you to view both Lensman 1 and Supersede.
