It's been hard to keep this one under wraps. We have been working on this watch and the series it will be a part of for well over a year now.
It isn't named Tourbillon 2, but it's the second tourbillon from Horage if that makes any sense at all.
Lensman 1 is the first within our Lensman series, a series that honours the innovators of photography and watchmaking. Given the interest in our tourbillon developments, it was fitting to launch this series with none other than with our K-TOU tourbillon calibre.
There is so much to unpack with this watch and rather than condensing the information and writing it all again twice I suggest you head on over to read all about it here.
You can also skip the reading and jump to the video animation to see all the details of the watch.
As well here is a video of yours truly out on the mountain and down in the city doing what I love most and sharing with you the inspiration behind the Lensman series. I will share photos from this day in the next post.
The Lensman 1 tourbillon is incredibly special and we have through sound engineering and process control actually reduced the price of this watch when compared with Tourbillon 1. Despite 5%-20% increases in production cost due to rising inflation we have done all we can to not pass these burdens on to customers, rather we have looked at how to become leaner and adhere to strict cost control.
From Tourbillon 1 we learned that most of our customers prefer duties, taxes and shipping included in the price so we have included this in the price of the watch. Like all our other watches Lensman 1 will already have duties, taxes and shipping priced into the watch at pre-order. We have a global pre-order price of just 8,390 CHF. For those of you that have spent 1000 CHF or more with Horage you will receive an email with a loyalty code to access Lensman 1 for just 7,990 CHF.
Lensman 1 will be available for pre-order this November 2022 at the pre-order and loyalty price for just 5 days. We will announce the exact November date 10 days prior and there will be a countdown on our main page.
After the pre-order, Lensman 1 will be available for purchase until February 1st 2023 at a price of 8,890 CHF. The total number of Lensman 1 watches produced is dependent on the total number of orders placed. We will place a maximum cap of 500 on Lensman 1 production therefore if we reach 500 pieces before February 1st, 2023 it will be removed early from the shop. Should we not reach 500 pieces then Lensman 1 production will stop at whatever number of watches were sold by February 1st.
The first 200 pieces are scheduled for delivery in April 2023 and any remaining pieces will delivery in May & June 2023.
It's a great feeling to start a new chapter of product development with the launch of a new tourbillon. On behalf of myself and the entire Horage team we look forward to the journey ahead with you all.

Till next time...

I’m interested in how it sounds, will there be a video out with that?
Well, for sure a nice watch. More evolution than revolution. Technically apart of the silicon spring not a big step. The dial a bit "Moser"ish, the camera/photo theme a bit thin. I will use the time until launch to give it a thought. But a second Horage Tourbillon with just minor horological improvements will give me some sleepless nights.
Any bracelet option?
Love the Lensman concept. A sports tourbillon. But that dial colour. A bit gloomy! Are you likely to offer different colour options?
Tempting... I already have the Tourbillon 1. Do I need another Tourbillon?
It seems to me an incredible watch, I have already read the entire article and it is very clear and forceful, unlike the first tourbillon that is not going to be anything skeleton, I imagine that the idea of this model is that the view is much more focused on the soul of the party that is the tourbillon and that is why it has a cyclops lens to make it stand out even more, in the video I am not able to appreciate the various facets of polishing and brushing you would have to do some direct before the pre-order period so that we can really appreciate the watch as it is with its various facets and finishes, the material that makes it up seems wonderful to me there are few things better in the long run than grade 5 titanium, I see that the indexes are completely black, I imagine that this is for they do not stand out and the whole view is centered on the tourbillon once again… the hands are white to have a perfect contrast and greatly increase their legibility… the only thing I would have liked is a bracelet as an option… I would pay for one not a good extra price if necessary… as it is a line already thought out, no modification will be possible and it will come out as announced?
Interesting and I’m tempted - but luckily got a little time until the preorder opens to think about it.
Curious to note that the Lensman is going to be a series of watches but one thing I’m not clear on - are they all going to be tourbillion models, or are there going to be different variants in the series, like with a K2 movement, etc?
I like the design very much. How will be the diameter?
So, no bracelet eh? 😥
It looks great! Congrats!
