Watch Details
At just 44 grams (case only) and 64 grams (case & strap) Lensman 1 is an incredibly lightweight, everyday titanium flying tourbillon.
Through sound process know-how and advanced engineering, the team at Horage has created a tourbillon movement that is not only extremely efficient and accurate but also very shock resistant. Lensman 1 makes use of a full silicon escapement (escape wheel, anchor and hairspring). This combination makes for superb regulation, increased run times between services (up to 10 years) and not to mention its anti-magnetic properties. The bumps and jolts of everyday life are thwarted thanks to a micro-bearing that the 0.29-gram tourbillon cage sits atop which is far more shock resistant than a traditional jewel and pinion construction used in most other tourbillons. The tourbillon cage makes a full rotation every 60 seconds and this means it acts as a seconds indication thanks to the blued screw that sits atop the titanium bridge. Over to the backside, the semi-skeletonized main plate of K-Tou is finished in black PVD which contrasts wonderfully with the inner workings of the movement.
Aside from the high-performing K-TOU movement, Lensman 1 makes use of a premium Grade 5 titanium case and screw-down crown that are meticulously polished and brushed. At just 10.3mm the case thickness pairs beautifully with the 49mm lug-to-lug and fits a wide range of wrist sizes. The case is laser etched with camera lens aperture ring markings and the top ring/bezel is inspired by a lens's focus ring.
The showstopper is the 5-layer sapphire crystal fitted with a cyclops at 6 o'clock that magnifies the mesmerizing beauty of the tourbillon cage. The dial is black and fitted with black gold brushed indices filled with black X1 Swiss Super LumiNova that glow a deep dark green in subdued light. The diamond-cut hour and minute hand are filled with white X1 Swiss Super LumiNova and glow a brighter green than the appliques to increase legibility.
Rounding out the camera-inspired aesthetic are two handmade, hand-stitched calf leather straps. For a little pop, one strap is finished with red stitches and for those that like the all-black look the other strap is finished with black stitching. Both straps come with Horage's proprietary deployant clasp.
