Supersede was a transformational release for Horage as it introduced the in-house K2 micro-rotor caliber that’s become our gold standard workhorse as the K1 automatic is being phased out. Of course, the watch itself was also significant, demonstrating the modularity of the movement with four integrated complications - Date, GMT, Day/Night indicator and Power Reserve indicator - in a classic yet modern integrated sports watch with a rotating diving bezel and 200 meters of water resistance. We are now on the third version of the Supersede models and the dial of the all-new Supersede Dual Time pays homage to another form of high craftsmanship, selvedge denim.
Supersede GMT
Our inaugural Supersede GMT is an all-terrain timepiece that can quite literally go anywhere. This is a bit of a cliché in the watch world as the claim is overused, but in this case you have a refined micro-rotor luxury watch that can go diving with the rotating diver’s bezel and 200 meters of water resistance, go traveling with true GMT functionality (Jump Hour Set - independently set local hour hand in one hour increments) and then be right at home at a formal occasion with less than 10mm of thickness (9.85mm) to slip under a cuff. Perfect for the budding secret agents, among many others.
904L stainless steel, an upgrade to the more commonly used 316L counterpart, provides better corrosion resistance and a brighter sheen when polished, while sapphire crystals front and back protect the dial and showcase our in-house K2 micro-rotor. Five dial colors are available, 12:00 White, Transatlantic Blue, Atoll Blue, Boreal Green and Jet Stream Grey. Priced at only CHF 6,500 in a market where Swiss micro-rotors start at around CHF 7,500 for simple three-hand models.
Supersede Date
We always listen to our customers and value the feedback. Many requests for a simpler, even more affordable Supersede became a reality with Supersede Date. It maintains the Jump Hour Set functionality of the Supersede GMT model to quickly set the new time when traveling, but only includes a date complication at 3 o’clock with Quick Date Adjust.
The rotating diver’s bezel and 200 meters of water resistance remain, along with the overall design and, of course, our K2 micro-rotor movement, allowing it to maintain the same thinness at 9.85mm. Two dial colors, Cenote Blue and Black Coral are available. Priced at only CHF 5,490, which is a significant savings from the GMT model.
Supersede Dual Time
Our third and latest Supersede model combines the most functional features of the previous models, a luxury sports watch that again has a date window at 3 o’clock, but now a 24-hour wheel at 9 o’clock to provide a second hour for dual time (the minute hand is used for both). For example, if the central hands are set at 12:15pm in Los Angeles, you can set the hour wheel to 21:00 for London, which effectively shows 9:15pm on the dial.
The 24-hour wheel eliminates the need for either a 24-hour bezel or a Day/Night indicator and simplifies the dual-time functionality with a cleaner style. To maintain a simplicity of design, the bezel is now fixed and without diver’s markings, but water resistance remains at 200 meters. The price sits between the Supersede GMT and Supersede Date models at CHF 5,990. However, for the first 14 days, there will be a CHF 500 discount (lasting through September 30th) for a price of only CHF 5,490. Availability starts in Q4 2024.
Selvedge Denim Dial
The new Supersede Dual Time comes with a unique dial that replicates selvedge denim (self-edge weaving). This denim is more premium than standard with higher quality yarns that are woven on smaller, old-school shuttle looms by true artisans. Red thread is commonly used with selvedge denim at the self-finished edges, so we carried that onto the dial with a red seconds hand, red triangular pointer for the 24-hour wheel and red text for K2-Dual Time. It’s certainly unique as we honor other types of superior craftsmanship with our own.
K2 Micro-Rotor
Powering all Supersede models is our in-house K2 micro-rotor caliber. This is a COSC-certified chronometer with certificate and features an anti-magnetic silicon escapement and hairspring, 72-hour power reserve, screw balance regulation and hand finishing that includes Côtes de Genève and quadratic black gold bridge. The micro-rotor is gold-plated tungsten as the platinum option has been discontinued.
Supersede GMT and Date are back In Stock
Alongside the introduction of our Supersede Dual Time, we’re also happy to announce that all models of Supersede GMT and Supersede Date are currently back in stock and ready to ship – all five GMT dial colors and both Date dial colors. This includes our 904L integrated bracelet that tapers from 22mm to 16mm at the ultra-low profile micro-adjusting clasp (HMAC). At just 5.6mm thin, it can be adjusted a full 10mm in 1mm increments at the push of an internal button - no tools required. The bracelet comes with either polished or with brushed center links. Six rubber strap colors are also available and include black, grey, blue, red, purple and orange. As mentioned, Supersede Dual Time with the unique selvedge denim dial will be available in Q4 2024.

Brilliant design - when I think of other dual time display dials they’re always too cluttered with detail. It’s an incredibly capable travel watch.
I had to post about to my friends on Watchcrunch, Very positive feedback.
I don’t know much about the jeans / selvedge inspiration - but the dial pattern is cool and now I’m curious to try on a pair of these high end jeans 😂
This is what I call excellent engineering... high dergee of modualrity allows us to bring new models and functions to life and not just change a dial color like so many companies do it.
